Scott is a retired Principal Geologist, CA PG and CEG, at Gorian Associates, Inc. with a Geology Degree from Cal Lutheran University. Scott often credited participation in CGS with finding him a job and kickstarting his successful career.
Scott and Donnalee were active with CGS and PSAAPG throughout Scott’s professional career. He served on the CGS Board for three years and was the 2003-2004 President. Donnalee volunteered as the Society’s Historian and compiled much of the historical background information now on the CGS website. They both actively supported student participation within CGS and were part of the organizing committee for the John Woolley Memorial Golf Tournament raising money for student scholarships.
Scott and Donnalee were also avid Civil War reenactors – in charge of the cannon. They now enjoy retirement in Montana, still supporting CGS from afar. CGS thanks Scott and Donnalee Simmons for their continued commitment to our Society.
